tdscoverreveal

That’s right, ladies and gentleman! And now, the event you’ve been looking forward to since the day you were born ….

Okay, perhaps you haven’t been waiting that long, but several of you have commented in such a way that led to me to believe that there was some excitement about the launching of the new covers for The Dressmaker’s Secret and Ivy Introspective.

Now, regardless of your excitement – or lack of – continue reading (if you haven’t already skipped ahead to view the covers, beast). After all, the blog tour signups are also opening today, and I have a lot of fun announcements about the party we’ll be having!

5 (Absolutely True) Facts about Redheads

As you probably know (because I paste my face all over the internet like a conceited monkey), I have red hair. Well, it’s actually more auburn, but red is red is red. Even if it’s not. *makes sense*

There are a lot of myths floating around about redheads. For instance, some people believe all redheads are witches. Like, not witches as in mean people, but witches. As in they ride on broomsticks. This is untrue. Trust me.

However, there are many things that bind all people of scarlet locks together. Here are the top five.

Completely Random Updates

Yesterday, I went through my list of post ideas and tried to pick one that would be perfect to publish today. I considered writing about how you should write, but I just posted about naming characters. I consider rambling about my books, but I’ve done that way too much already.

Then I considered not posting. But I felt like that would be a bad way to kick of my new, two-post-a-week schedule (more on that later). So … what should I post?

“Completely random updates?” Why not. I haven’t anything lamer to do today.

Blog Tags Are Taking Over the Universe

Run, run, as fast as you can

You can’t hide from me

I’m the blog tag … girl

I’m a terrible poet.

And yes, I do realize that with just one post a week, spending it on blog tags when a great deal of my followers have said they actually don’t read the blog tags is probably a stupid thing for me to be doing.

But what do I care? I can be stupid whenever I want. *dances*

Tips for Reading

Hi guys! I decided it’d be fun to write a random post today. I know most of you love reading, so this will be right up your alley. Tips about eating! No, wait … reading. Sorry. I’m sick, so I haven’t eaten much today, and eating makes me sick, but I keep thinking there must be something appetizing out there …

Reading is hard. I know, ’cause I have 267 books I want to read (probably over three hundred if I were to add books I want to read just because they’re classics). Will I ever get through all those books? Probably not. I really am going to go through my to-read list on Goodreads someday and delete a good half of them.

But you know how addictive to-read lists can get … you add one, and then you add another, and then you add twenty more, and before you know it you have … *calculates* … twenty-two books on your to-read list. XD

Anyway, on to the post!

February 2017 Spotlight: Goals and Titles (Again)

Sorry about the post being so late, guys. I’ve been distracted … by How to Train Your Dragon. What? I need to spend more time with my brothers, so … okay, you’ve got me; I like HTTYD. Then I’ve been in this kinda mood these last couple days:

And my family is like this:

And I reply:

And/or:

Seriously, though, we’re gonna have an awesome spotlight this month. So read on, and you’ll … I don’t know. Enjoy this post. And just remember …

In Which I Humiliate Myself

Since you all seem to like me, I decided that should change.

How am I going to go about changing that? Well, I’m going to post a lot of random excerpts from books I wrote … years ago.

For this, I have to go here:

screenone

Yep. The file folder “No Longer in Use.” *lightning, thunder, scary music*

And a peak inside the file folder, as if you weren’t scared (or scarred) enough already:

screentwo

I know. Scary, right?

So, I’m going to click on a random folder and give you an excerpt from one of my works-in-progress. None of these were actually finished. So. Let the games begin.

In Which We Examine Millie Lark on a Non-Professional Basis

{Note: all the images in this post were stolen from Google images. Credit to their owners, whomever they may be.}

Today we’re going to take a peak at the inner workings of a character from The Lady of the Vineyard. Her name is Millie Lark. She is Adele Collier’s best friend. She gets all of two paragraphs of page-time in TLOTV and perhaps a mention in Flowers. However, I like Millie and am considering writing a novel (or novella) specifically about her.

Doesn’t he crack you up!? Probably he’s all like, “Is this a dress, and did a cow just lick my hair!?!”
