Blog Tours

blogtours

I’ve decided to offer to help authors set up blog tours for their new releases. At the moment, this is a free service although this may change in the future if I am able to build up enough of an audience and have a large group of blogger collaborate with me, offering to participate in these tours.

I would be either hosting these tours on my book blog Reveries Reviews or on the author’s blog, depending on what’s preferred. I would also be sharing these posts on my social media.

  1. Hey Kellyn! I had a quick question about blog tours for you…

How much time do you usually allow for people to sign up and prepare their posts for a book tour? I’m doing a launch tour for my new blog, and I’d like to get an idea of how much time you leave signups open, and let people prepare their posts.
It obviously won’t take as long for someone to get a post ready, since there’s not a book to read, but I thought you might have some insight as to how much time I should give people and how soon I should post signups.

    Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. Well, I opened my blog tour signups for one I’m running now about a week ago … the launch/tour itself will be June 2oth-30th. I think for a blog launch, two weeks (or even less) would be plenty as long as you were sure to get all the information out early on.

        1. I send out info as soon as the blog tour signups are closed. For me, that will be mid-June, but for you … I don’t know. Close the signups (or whatever) when you have enough people. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hey Kellyn! It’s me again. *bored cheers*
Anyway, I’m a bit confuzzled on some blog tour things and need an opinon…

I’m currently working on setting up a launch tour for my new blog, http://charisrae.com/.

My problem is, I’m not sure how long to allow for signups for my tour. Right now, I have the tour set as June 19-22, with maybe the 23 in case I get a lot more than expected. But that’s a really long ways away, and my blog should be completely ready by then. I’d like to do it June 12-15, but I have an all-day summer camp that might take up too much time…I don’t want to have to be thinking about it all the time and being on technology.

But as I said, my blog will also be ready to be shared before then. But right now, it isn’t quite ready. But if I’m going to allow for enough time for the tour signups and for people to write the posts, I’m going to need to do a signups post in a couple days, or today.

    Little help here??
    Thx dear…you’re da best. <33

    1. Well, perhaps you could just open signups for a couple of days – now to the 3rd of 4th. You might get enough people signed up. Then you could send out the info on the 5th or 6th and hold it from the 8th to the 11th or something like that. Come to think of it, it shouldn’t take too long for people to set up the post, should it? You’d just have to work hard and fast.

Let me know if there’s anyway I can help.
